As soon as you enter the Surgery you are welcomed with a pleasant smile from the receptionists, which is unlike many Surgeries that I have used - (they tend to make you feel as though you are bothering them and you expect them to sigh with boredom!). The surgery is clean and appears very well organised. They have recently taken on more G.Ps, and have had to expand and alter their surgery, which has caused it to lose its 'homely' feel, but we all have to move forward with the times.
My son and I have seen many different doctors here, and have found 99% of them to be most pleasant, friendly and competent. I believe that the other 1% may be locums, but am not sure about this. The new large parking bay is an added bonus, plus the pharmacist being next door is very handy.
I have recently had a problem with ordering of medicines by repeat prescriptions on line where one item has been missed off. 2 out of 3 repeats were affected.
I have been a few times this year as have just had an operation. All visits were really good. Today I had to have a medical and again from start to finish was really good and easy.
Thanks to all at the surgery
had to try eight times to get through get a new switch board
I've been with Broughton House and now with Poplar Grove for several years. I really like all the doctors I have seen so far and the nurses are great. My nurse today, Mrs Maricka Gomm (sorry if the spelling is wrong), was brilliant and caring and really went the extra mile. I wanted to give her a big hug and say thank you.
However, the receptionists and women on the phone are not helpful, understanding or willing to work with you. I struggle every single time I have to call or go there. They really let the place down and they're the only reason I consider going to a different GP.
